Leduc, AB – Leduc Regional Housing Foundation (LRHF) celebrated the opening of Gaetz Landing II, an addition to the existing Gaetz Landing, today.  Gaetz Landing II provides an additional twenty-four (24) one-bedroom units on to the existing building. Fifty (50) per cent of those units are dedicated to women fleeing violence and twenty-five (25) per cent of the units are fully accessible.  The rent is based on 60% of MMR (Median Market Rent) which is $680/month at this time.

Gaetz Landing is a mixed-use building located within walking distance of Main Street in the City of Leduc.  The additional twenty-four (24) one-bedroom units complement the already existing fourteen (14) one-bedroom near market/affordable housing units and two (2) commercial rental units.

Gaetz Landing II was made possible through the collaboration and commitment of funding from Leduc Regional Housing Foundation and all three levels of government - municipal, provincial and federal.

The breakdown of funding for this project is as follows:

  • $4.7 million under the Projects Stream of the third round of the Rapid Housing Initiative
  • $2 million of joint funding through the Affordable Housing Partnership Program (AHPP)  
  • $500,000 from the Municipalities of the Leduc Region
  • $1.4 million from Leduc Regional Housing Foundation

Leduc Regional Housing Foundation is thrilled to share that the construction cost for the Gaetz Landing II project has come in well under budget.
