Seniors Lodge

Our Seniors Lodges provide affordable room and hospitality services for modest income seniors who are functionally independent or functionally independent with the assistance of existing community-based services.
Caring and competent LRHF staff are responsible for providing housekeeping, meal services and recreational programs to our residents. It is important for seniors to reside somewhere that improves and compliments their physical and mental health when required most in their lives. Our seniors lodge options allows our residents to continue their independence but to receive help when needed as well as provides them the benefit to form long lasting friendships with other seniors within the lodge.
Living in our Seniors Lodges include:
- Private furnished bed/sitting unit with window coverings and private bath (personal furnishing may be used rather than those provided)
- 3 meals & 3 snacks served daily in the dining room
- Weekly housekeeping including linen & towel change
- Annual room cleaning
- Activities & recreation
- 24 hour non-medical staffing

To be eligible to apply for housing in the Seniors Lodge Program, you must first meet all six (6) of the following eligibility requirements:

Applicants must:
If there is any doubt as to their citizenship, an applicant will be asked for proof of citizenship. |
Residency |
Applicants, or their primary relatives, must have lived within the Leduc Region for at least one year immediately prior to an application being made. Applications will be considered from individuals who have lived in the Leduc Region for any previous ten years of their life. If a couple is applying, only one person must meet the residency requirement. |
Age |
Applicants must be sixty-five (65) years of age or over. Only one of a couple need be sixty-five (65) years of age or over. If there is a significant difference in age, the younger person may be required to give up his/her residency if the other has need of an alternate facility. |
Underage Applicants |
In the case where there are on-going vacancies LRHF may consider individuals and couples fifty (50) years of age and over who exhibit characteristics normally attributable to seniors sixty-five (65) years and older. Prior approval must be obtained from the Executive Director for acceptance of these applicants. |
Functional Independence |
An applicant's health must be such that they are mentally, physically, and emotionally capable of providing for their own needs, with or without the assistance of community based services. A medical must be completed by a doctor to document an applicant's ability to provide for his/her own needs. |
Suitability |
If there exists a high probability that an applicant possesses a significant social problem(s) which could disrupt the peaceful enjoyment of other residents, he/she may be found unsuitable for accommodation. |
2024 Supportive Living/Housing Services
RENT
- 30% of total monthly income, verified from current Income Tax Assessment
- Minimum 30% amount for a single individual is $625
- Cloverleaf Manor, Warburg
- maximum of $1,150 per month for a senior living alone
- maximum of $1,350 per month for a couple sharing a room or suite
- Planeview Place, Leduc (due to private market options being available)
- maximum of $1,400 per month for a senior living alone
- maximum of $1,750 per month for a couple sharing a room or suite

ACCOMMODATION CHARGE
- Accommodation Charge = Rent + Basic Service Package (suite upgrade charges as applicable)
- Each senior in a standard suite shall be left with $357 per month of disposable income after their accommodation charge, not applicable if you upgrade to a bigger unit
Supportive Living Services (Cloverleaf Manor, Planeview Place)
Package Includes:
- Private furnished Bed/Sitting Room with window coverings and 3 or 4 piece bath
- Personal furnishing may be used rather than those provided
- 3 Meals & 2 Snacks served daily in the dining room
- Weekly housekeeping
- Weekly linen & towel change
- Annual room cleaning
- Activities & recreation
- 24 hour staffing & emergency response
Optional Services Available:
Supportive Living and Supportive Housing Services
- Personal laundry - $40.00 per month per person
- Therapeutic bath - $5.00 per use or $20 per month for 1x/week bathing
- Fridge/AC Plug-in - $10.00 per month
- Vehicle parking - $20 per month
- Scooter parking - $15 per month
- Private dining room, Planeview Place and Wing 4 Lounge, Cloverleaf Manor $25.00
- $5.00 - for coffee , tea or juice container
- Guest Meals – invite your family and friends to join you for a meal
- provide the kitchen with 24 hours notice.
- Charge per person: Breakfast $6.00, Dinner $12.00, Supper $8.00
Supportive Living Respite
- $55.00 per day
A security deposit is required upon signing of your residency agreement. The security deposit is usually equal to one month’s rent.
An application process determines eligibility for all our housing programs. The applicant is evaluated according to citizenship, residency, age, functional independence and suitability requirements. Once it is determined that the applicant meets the eligibility requirements, they are placed on a waiting list for the most suitable housing program. Priority on the waitlist is determined by level of need.

Bring the completed Confidential Medical Report – Form ‘C’ from your Doctor, completed Form ‘B’, and your most recent Canada Revenue Notice of Assessment to your interview. |
If you need assistance completing your application, confirming your eligibility or to discuss your application please contact the Lodge Manager. Your application will be considered complete once all forms have been received and interview is completed. You will be notified in writing of approval status.

Your place on our waitlist is determined by your needs and situation, not your application date. Depending on the priority of each new application received, you may move up and down on the waitlist. We cannot inform you of your exact position on the waitlist.
When we have a vacancy available, our Supportive Living Manager will contact you to discuss next steps in the process and ensure you are ready to move.

Accommodation Types
There are two types of supportive living lodge accommodations:
- Supportive Living
Residents experience the comfort of supportive living lodge accommodations in a private, furnished, bed-sitting room with ensuite bathing. Wheelchair accessible suites are available.
The supportive living basic service package includes:
- 3 meals & snacks served daily in the dining room
- weekly light housekeeping, linen & towel change and annual deep cleaning of room
- activities & recreation
- 24/7 staff onsite to monitor the building and contact emergency services as residents need arise
- Supportive Housing - Available only at Planeview Place, Leduc
Residents experience many of the comforts of supportive living lodge accommodations in a private, unfurnished, one-bedroom suite with kitchenette. One meal a day and weekly housekeeping are included in the service package.
The supportive housing basic service package includes:
- 1 meal served daily in the dining room
- weekly light housekeeping and annual deep cleaning of room
- activities & recreation
- 24/7 staff onsite to monitor the building and contact emergency services as residents need arise
As of June 1, 2019, all LRHF buildings are non-smoking. Residents/tenants can only smoke in the designated smoking area.
You cannot smoke in any other area on the property. This means that you cannot smoke in your unit, in any common area (stairwell, laundry room, lobby), on your balcony or patio, or any other place that has not been identified as a designated smoking area.
